What makes someone dominant?
Enjoying the responsibility for how a scene or an evening goes, and being energised rather than drained by carrying it. The person following sets the limits; the dominant works inside them. Anyone who skips that part isn't dominant, just careless.
Dominant or sadist: what's the difference?
Dominance is about steering; sadism is about enjoying giving strong sensation to someone who asked for it. Many dominants aren't sadists at all, and some sadists have no interest in being in charge outside the sensation itself.
Is dominant the same as master?
No. Dominant describes a scene or an evening. Master describes a structure that holds outside any particular evening: titles, standing rules, written agreements. The test scores both.
