New to this? Start here.
Everyone in the scene was new once, and most of them started the same way: words first, then a munch, then people. Five steps, in order, at whatever pace suits you. Nothing here needs an account.
Your city first
Find your city: every city page has a first-timer's order of operations and the munches with dates.
Find words for what you like
Most people arrive with a feeling and no vocabulary. The test asks plain questions and gives you the words, ranked, with a page for each. Nothing is stored unless you choose to save it.
Learn the three basics
Consent is negotiated before anything starts. A safeword stops everything, every time. Aftercare is part of it, not an extra. Everything else in the scene rests on these three.
Go to a munch
A munch is a clothes-on social in a restaurant or bar: no play, no dress code, just people who are into this talking like people. It's where nearly everyone starts, and where you find out who's who.
Meet people the safe way
Talk first, meet in public, tell a friend, get yourself home, and nobody plays on a first meeting. Anyone who pushes against that is telling you something.
Say who you are, and see who's near
When you're ready: a card with a name you choose, a face you choose (a drawn mask is fine), what you are and what you're looking for. Put "New to this" on it and the people who see it know to go slowly.
When you're ready for more
What is a play party?

Play party and dungeon etiquette for newcomers
