Daddy Dom and little
A caregiver/little dynamic between consenting adults: one partner protective, warm and in charge, the other playful, cared for and looked after.
Members say what they're into and what they're looking for on their card, in plain words. Browsing is free and needs no account; the faces are blurred until you join.
Daddy Dom / little (DDlg, and every other combination: Mommy Domme, caregiver and little, of any genders) is one of the largest dynamics on FetLife, with two of its biggest groups devoted to it. At its centre is care: one partner takes a protective, guiding role with rules, rewards and attention, and the other is free to be playful, small and looked after. For many people it is less about sex than about feeling safe.
It is a dynamic between adults, always. The little is an adult who chooses a younger headspace (or simply a softer, more cared-for one) inside a relationship with another adult who chose to hold it. Nothing about it involves real children or imitates them in public, and the community is strict about that line; so are we. Cards, photos and messages that blur it are removed.
In practice it looks like structure and warmth: bedtimes and check-ins, praise and gentle discipline, stuffed animals and colouring books for some, nothing of the kind for others, and a great deal of aftercare. Caregivers describe the satisfaction of being someone's safe person; littles describe the relief of not having to be the grown-up for a while. It overlaps with D/s, with pet play, and with age-gap relationships, though plenty of couples in this dynamic are the same age.
Signs this is you
- Being looked after, with rules that are for your good, is the fantasy, more than anything sexual.
- Or: you want to be someone's safe person, the one who sets bedtimes and notices everything.
- Praise lands harder than anything else, and so does gentle disappointment.
- You've said "I just want someone to take care of me" and meant something specific.

How people do it safely
Adults only, unambiguously, in words, photos and play. Little space can make it harder to say no, so negotiate limits while both of you are in an adult headspace, and agree a safeword that works in little space too. Caregivers: the role is care, not control for its own sake. Watch for anyone who wants a little who is actually young, or who can't stop the dynamic when asked; that is the line the community enforces hardest.
The roles it leans on
Caregiver
Looking after someone properly is the part you'd keep if you could only keep one.
Little
Being allowed to put the adult down for a while is the whole appeal.
Dominant
You like holding the plan, and you take the responsibility that comes with it seriously.
Submissive
You find room to breathe in trusting someone else to steer.

Common questions
What does DDlg mean?
Daddy Dom / little girl: one common form of a caregiver/little dynamic between adults. The same dynamic exists in every gender combination (Mommy Domme, little boy, caregiver and little).
Is DDlg about age play?
Sometimes, as a headspace between adults; often not at all. Many couples in this dynamic are simply a caring, structured D/s relationship with a softer tone. It never involves real minors or imitating them in public.
Do you have to be older to be a Daddy?
No. Daddy is a role, not an age. Plenty of caregivers are younger than their littles.
A plain-language guide, not advice from a professional, and nothing here is better or worse than anything else. People are into several of these at once, and what fits changes over time.
